'two very cool bits of news about one of my favorite stories by one of my favorite illustrators, Darwyn Cooke.

The most interesting being a rumored animated version of the story being produced by Bruce Timm and co. for a direct-to-DVD release. This seems like a very likely collaboration in that Darwyn Cooke worked for Timm.

Also, The New Frontier will be released in DC's new "Absolute Edition" format in October
